Now Enrolling - Toddler Daycare & Preschool Program
Bear Valley Early Learning Center is an approved Colorado Universal Preschool (UPK) provider in Denver, offering free preschool hours for eligible children the year before kindergarten. Our small, licensed home preschool provides a structured, play-based environment with individualized attention to support social, emotional, and academic growth.
Children who are 4 years old by October 1 and entering kindergarten the following year are eligible for Colorado Universal Preschool (UPK).
Families in Denver and surrounding areas apply through the Colorado UPK system and choose approved providers, including licensed home programs like Bear Valley Early Learning Center. Once matched, I’ll contact you to guide you through enrollment and schedule a tour.
Most children receive 15 hours per week of free preschool through UPK.
Some families may qualify for additional hours depending on their circumstances. At Bear Valley Early Learning Center, UPK hours can be blended with full-time daycare if needed, so your child can enjoy both free preschool and extended care in a structured, play-based environment.
UPK covers the state-funded preschool hours at no cost.
If families need care beyond these hours (extended day or full-time daycare), tuition may apply for the additional time. I will walk you through all options so there are no surprises , ensuring your child gets the care and learning they need in a safe, nurturing home environment.
Yes. Families must complete two steps:
Families first apply through the Colorado UPK application portal and list Bear Valley Early Learning Center as one of their preferred providers.
Once your child is matched, I will reach out directly to complete enrollment paperwork, answer any questions, and schedule a tour. Small class sizes mean spots fill quickly, so early application is encouraged.
